My Story

In her fifty plus years Carol has experienced the challenges and opportunities that life brings.  Not only is she an author, but she is an international conference speaker, teacher, counselor, mentor, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Her international speaking engagements include Sri Lanka, India, New Zealand,

Tasmania, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, Australia, as well as retreats and conferences in England, Wales, Norway and Kiev.

As a young bride of eighteen, she and her husband set out on their journey to build their own business.  After fifteen years of hard work and personal sacrifices they had a very successful business and were multimillionaires.  During the first nine years of  marriage she became the mother of three wonderful, and energetic sons.  The third son was diagnosed with challenging learning disabilities.  This presented a special opportunity for her family to develop a depth of tenderness, kindness, and patience that otherwise would never have been realized. Consequently through the years that followed we had many occasions to encourage and support other families with special needs children. Now, as an adult, he is doing exceptionally well.

Carol was widowed at the age of 42. After 24 years of marriage her husband was diagnosed with cancer and passed away.  She was left with the sole responsibility for the business. She had no knowledge of some unwise business decisions he had made but she had to deal with the consequences.  The results were the loss of the business, all savings and bank accounts, her home, and cars.  Once again, life presented challenging choices.  How does one go on?

During this time a man, Ron Morris, entered her life and he gave her counsel and guidance as to how to navigate the circumstances.  In time, they were married and combined not only their families but their businesses. He has become her anchor, her greatest fan, and most enthusiastic cheerleader.  There is a song, "You Are The Wind Beneath My Wings", and Ron truly is the wind beneath Carol's wings.

After being in the business world for 35 years, she turned her focus on other women who were caught in the "crisis' of life".  She became a mentor, counselor, and teacher as a result of the challenges that life had presented to her.

She took advantage of the opportunities to take courses in counseling and post trauma stress syndrome.  Her experience includes teaching seminars and classes for women who are married to sexual addicts as well as women who are addicted to sex.  Through her many encounters with women and men she has gained a solid understanding of the serious issues men, women and children face in today's society.  She has deep concerns about the disappearance of innocence in our children and the crisis of the family unit.

Carol says although her role as mother and parent has changed, her mother's heart will always bare the concerns and hopes of her children.  No matter what their age, they will always be my children.

Music has been an important part of her life since childhood.  She says that playing the piano is not only a favorite past time but great therapy. Next to spending time with her husband, being with their grandchildren brings the greatest pleasure.

Carol and her husband Ron  reside in the suburbs of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
